The wind and the sun
Ah...working in natural sunlight with a view of the pale blue sky and a moderate breeze tinkling the windchimes and with the radio buzzing in the background.
It just brings your senses back to you, instead of that zombified state in a timeless fluroscent cubicle. Surprisingly it's even better than a mocha frapp (or the usual mango tea) at the green double-tailed mermaid outlet, even better than the al fresco version. Went there for lunch today, primarily to pick up the pair of leather slippers and 3 inches of reading material, and realised it's much easier to work at home with everything you need around you. Thought about getting out of the blazing noon sun the whole journey back.
And the thought of the prospective 3.6km walk-run in the neighbourhood in the evening hangs like a carrot off the end of the stick of a not-quite-so-disagreeable day at work.
